Looking back at the prelim task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? I have learnt a great deal of information in my progression from the preliminary task and I think the greatest technical skill that I have learnt is to really use iMovie. In my preliminary task I was much less involved in the editing process of the movie, but in this project I really got to grips with how to use the iMovie software and how it worked. I learnt about all of the different enhancements I could make in iMovie: anti shake, colour match, brightness, contrast and speed. I learnt how to; fade the music in and out of a clip, move clips, trim clips, add music and many more tools and editing skills. During the filming of the product I have learnt a range of practical skills. The biggest skill I taught myself was how to use the manual focus on the Nikon 18mm - 55mm lens, i did this by playing around with the camera and the lens. This was a very useful skill addition as it enabled us to film one of the more interesting shots, the focus pull, this focus pull was from the protagonist to the teddy bear in front of her. One thing I'm sure I have learnt since the Prelim task is the significance of being organized when working in a group and how to be organised. It is specifically important when filming and working in your own time rather than working in assigned lesson time to film. We have all learnt how to coordinate and organise our calendars so that we can spend days just filming footage and after schools to edit the footage. A big part of working in a group is knowing who is going to do what, and holding them accountable for completing.
